Forest City 3 Chapter 6 -What in Carnation-

Monty sat down at the kitchen table and began filling out his work. I couldn't exactly make out his expression, but he looked almost bored.     "So, Monty," I began the conversation, "What's up?"     "Nothing much," Monty answered, then he looked up into my eyes, he looked almost worried.     "Is... uh... something wrong?" I asked.     "No," he wouldn't budge, returning back to the work.     "What colors should we use for the water?" I chimed in just thinking about all the colors we could use purple, blue, yellow , green, red, pink, any color we could think of besides yellow of course.     "Any one will work, you decide," Monty trailed off awkwardly.     I began to file through the cabinets inspecting them and looking all over the place for food dye. Every cabinet was full of some sort of dish from tea pitcher to literal sippy cups, I wonder what those were doing in here. I reached back in one of the ...

Forest City 3 Chapter 5 -Peanut Butter "Mac"over-

"Someday, you're gonna grow up and you are gonna be someone real special Mac," Clove whispered as tried to comb my hair, she was an "expert" on all things, but mainly "squirrel hair" which was always a frizzy and tangly mess. Earlier that day, some punk kid had stuck a piece of bubblegum in my hair and I had to go home.     "How are we gonna get it out," I stuttered, "My hair is ruined!"     "Here's a secret, we don't have to tell mama," Clove said, "I've got something that will do just the trick our family secret," Clove held out a small jar of Summerwood peanut butter.     I felt a huge glob of my hair yank and then Clove let out a "shoot" and a "I can fix it" then... "nope, mom is going to kill me."     "What did you do!?" I screamed and ran out of my room peanut butter leaking onto my shoulders and onto the floor.     "Mac! Wait!" Clove called ...

Forest City 3 Chapter 4 -Final Preperation-

I felt really bad all throughout the next few days, Monty and I continued to work on our project, we both talked about how he has been feeling lately and what we can do to make things better for him. I hadn't realized that Monty had been feeling left out recently and it only just occurred to me that he was, when he told me a few days ago. I'm trying to figure out how to include him more, I just don't know what to do. Maybe we can go to the library more often, but we already are spending time after school working on the project.     Maybe this will all go away before (or after) winter break. I sat in Mr. Jackal's room for a few minutes, I had made it here before everyone else, so I decided to tap away on my phone. My dad had texted me a few more times, but not as much as a few days ago.     I glanced around the room looking for some poster to read glancing at a Periodic Table of Elements poster on the far left wall, a pigeon sat in the desk right un...

Forest City 3 Chapter 3 -Experiments-

I was super excited today, mostly because I was able to enjoy my favourite tea, but also, Botany class was having an assignment that I was more than ready for. Out of all of my classes, I was enjoying Botany the most. Monty was also in that class as well and he seemed to be enjoying himself.     "Hallo my lovely leetle students," Ms. Aves began class, every afternoon was like this, "today we are starting a new project, so I want you all to find a lovely leetle partner to help you out."     Of course, Monty immediately stood by me. I knew that this project would be a breeze with Monty by my side, but there was a catch.     "Make sure that both of you are doing equal parts of the project," Ms. Aves continued, "this is a very eemportant part of the semester because we are ending the first year and continuing onto the next, so we will spend these last few weeks on this project while also working on a few others in between. Once we come back from w...

Forest City Blog Announcement 6/14/21

It is finally time that I get rid of all those old comments, a little bit of spring cleaning, if I do say so myself. I am hoping that I can make my blog go public, as in, Instagram, Twitter, and more (nope just those two apps lol). Which means that I am going to basically, remove a lot of the old things that revolve around my school, so this is some true spring cleaning right here, am I right?     What this means is that if anyone wishes to have their comments deleted (that still reads my blog), please comment down below. But, this does mean that if anyone wishes to comment on my blog, keep yourself and me anonymous, if you refer to me by my real name, your comment will be deleted, this also means that the speed paint and blog intro will be private as well. I need the anonymity because I don't like my identity online.     Anyway, Spring Cleaning begins on June 15th 2021, so any comment will be deleted, so if anyone from my school has comm...

Forest City 3 Chapter 2 -Gossip Begins to Brew-

Something seems so familiar about Tora, I can't quite think of him or his name. It doesn't ring a bell, I glanced up in the hallway, I was standing near homeroom, looks like we have a sub today because I can't get in the room. I felt a slight tap on my shoulder, I turned my head to see Cobalt's cute little face staring back at me. Something about the dance and the whole fiasco made me reconsider a lot about Cobalt and Bonnie as people.     "I brought you something on my way here, that's why I'm a little late, got you something too Monty," Cobalt began and handed us two coffee cups full of tea.     "T-thanks," I stuttered and took a sip.     "Both of your favorites," Cobalt closed his eyes, almost like he was victorious of something.     "I do like a good Early Gray," Monty chimed in.     I was surprised that Cobalt even knew my favorite tea, spiced pomegranate and orange. I asked curiously, "And what did you get y...

Forest City 3 Chapter 1 -Familiar Names-

As I stood at the bus stop I watched as a crumpled dead leaf flutter away from a tree. A cold winter breeze swept beside me making my face flush red. The sky had gone gray which was a sign of snow either that or it was the pollution from the city. The yellow bus made its way around the corner, it had just picked up the students of Nesting Street, where Monty lived. I heard a buzz on my phone, it was from Cobalt.     Cobalt: 7:58 "Have to drive to school with my mom. Gonna have to do that more often now, live on the other side of town. :/ Getting my license soon."      I grinned at that text message and proceeded to step onto the bus. Monty waved his hand at me and I realised that we wouldn't get to ride the bus with Cobalt, but that meant that I could sit with Monty or Toni if Monty wasn't here in the morning. I had leant my notebook to Monty over Fall Break in case he got bored and wanted to write about people in school. In fact, he filled up...

Forest City 2 Epilogue

"Mac! Wait! It's not what it looks like!" Cobalt called after me.     "Then why did you kiss her!? In front of everyone!" I called back my eyes full of tears, "Why!?"     Cobalt began to pace towards me and he replied, "I'm sorry, she-"     "No!" I interrupted, Monty took my arm and began to lead me out of the gym.     "Monty! MAC!" Cobalt yelled back, he then turned toward Bonnie. I stood in the doorway.     Bonnie just stood in the middle of the gym, guilty.     "Why did YOU do that!?" Cobalt cried after her, "What were you thinking!?"     "Mac, he didn't do that on purpose," Monty tried to reason with me while taking me outside.     "Why did he do that?" I leaned up against some lockers, we were near my English 3 class, Maybe Mr. Lupin was right.     Monty sat me down on a bench, I curled up in a ball letting my tail fall on the floor.     "It's funny how I do...

Forest City 2 Chapter 17 -Aftermath of the Blue Moon Ball-

After the Blue Moon Ball I made my way outside, I met up with Cobalt, he was curled up on one of the school's benches that were placed here when we were 6th graders, I assume they got the money from a fundraiser.      Cobalt sniffled and began, "Why are you out here?"     "I can't handle it, Bonnie blamed me for making HER night the worst," I replied with a hint of nervous laughter.     "This year has been pretty rough," Cobalt continued, "I can't let this happen anymore."     "I know," I said silently and wrapped my arm around Cobalt's shoulder. He began to let it all out again using his tie as a hankerchief practically.     "I don't want anymore friends, ever, I NEVER want to date anyone again!" Cobalt cried out through tears.     I rested my head on his shoulder, an autumn breeze ruffled my feathers and his fur. I didn't want to say what I thought, I wouldn't ever understand how he felt about...
