Forest City 3 Chapter 3 -Experiments-

I was super excited today, mostly because I was able to enjoy my favourite tea, but also, Botany class was having an assignment that I was more than ready for. Out of all of my classes, I was enjoying Botany the most. Monty was also in that class as well and he seemed to be enjoying himself.
"Hallo my lovely leetle students," Ms. Aves began class, every afternoon was like this, "today we are starting a new project, so I want you all to find a lovely leetle partner to help you out."
Of course, Monty immediately stood by me. I knew that this project would be a breeze with Monty by my side, but there was a catch.
"Make sure that both of you are doing equal parts of the project," Ms. Aves continued, "this is a very eemportant part of the semester because we are ending the first year and continuing onto the next, so we will spend these last few weeks on this project while also working on a few others in between. Once we come back from winter break, we will bring in the project and view the results."
"What are we doing?" a lamb asked from the front of the room.
"Oh! Of course, I should probably tell you about the project," Ms. Aves explained, "we are going to take some lovely leetle cahnations and water them with coluhful water, using food dye of course."
Ms. Aves was the newest teacher at FCHS and Botany was a class that they had back in the '60s, I believe. I think my dad mentioned that his uncle took this class before it was banned in the early '70s for some reason, he passed the knowledge he learned about plants to his brother and our farm was founded. My grandfather and great uncle then decided to go off to college and put the farm on hold, after that, my grandfather had my Aunt Hazel and my dad, and my great uncle moved to Taiga or Brumal Gelid, Taiga is more likely than the frozen wasteland that is Brumal Gelid. Then, I think it was twelve or fourteen years ago, I remember going to that uncle's funeral.
Ms. Aves passed out a paper and instructed us all to fill out the questions and answers. We all began filling in the blank boxes. I always liked when teachers made assignments more digestible, it's nice when I can understand the assignment.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
At the end of Ms. Aves's class I gathered the pots full of soil that Monty and I were going to use for the experiment. Monty would keep the control group and I would keep the experiment. Each and every day I would have to color the carnations with colored water, each different colors just so the results would vary and be pretty, at the beginning of next semester, we would bring the experiments back to the school and record the results. I was dying to leave school and begin on the project, not only was Hazel going to adore seeing some flowers in the kitchen windowsill, but I think it would bring a nice pop of color to her... not-so-pretty-looking kitchen. Either way, the carnations would be a pretty easygoing experiment. Or so I would think...
