Forest City Book 5 Chapter 4 -The Tora Issue-

As Monty and I headed to homeroom, we noticed that someone was blocking our path.     "Bonnie has a bone to pick with you... MONTY!" Midge began harshly.     Monty rolled his eyes and pushed his glasses up to his face. He replied, "If Bonnie has an issue with me, then we can deal with it ourselves."     Midge scoffed and disappeared into Mrs. Lanigera's classroom. Monty and I followed. We both set our backpacks next to our desks and sat down. Cobalt was sketching something in a sketchbook that looked similar to Clove's journal.     "What are you drawing?" I threw the question out to Cobalt.     "Oh just a little something for an art project," Cobalt answered, "I'm getting a little help with it... sort of." His answer seemed to be a little more vague than usual.     "Look who decided to show his face!" Bonnie sneered from the other side of the classroom.     Cobalt ...

Forest City Book 5 Chapter 3 -Art School-

Monty poked his head up from the bus seat and waved, he had our botany project in his hands and they turned out lovely. Monty chose yellow (ugh), blue, green, and pink for the color choices.     "The color was originally supposed to be red for the last one, but somehow ended up being pink," Monty began, "Just goes to show you how cheap food dye can be."     I waved at Toni and she waved back, music blasting in her ears or so I thought. She actually didn't have music in her ears this time and was texting someone.     "Do you think that you can help me out with something?" I asked Monty.     "Yeah what is it?" He questioned.     "I'm wondering if Clove ever had painting classes with your mom?"     "My mom held an art club one time, but not that I remember."     "Oh, because Clove mentioned in her diary something about paintings and learning about art and all that art...

Forest City News 12/31/21-1/1/22

-Slight spoilers for Forest City Book 5-      Happy New Years everyone!!! Some new developments have happened with Forest City and I am SO happy to announce that Book 5 is working out pretty well. I have been taking it a little slow with these chapters because I am trying my best to do the following: Redeem Bonnie Tora/Mac connection Fixing the Tora/Caspian situation Art school and Monty's mom The missing painting Cobalt's art project Midge and the school play (this will occur in Book 6)     As for the 1st of January...snow...snow...SO MUCH SNOW! This is kind of a hard time for me to be able to post chapters and work on chapters. This is mostly because of the imminent snowstorm that is headed my way. Let's hope that my wifi doesn't go out or my power goes out, both of those things will not be good in general. I hope to work on chapters on the second and fourth of January, but unfortunately, my school gets back in session on the fift...

Forest City Book 5 Chapter 2 -Permissible Graffiti-

"Mac it's time to get ready for school!" mom yelled from downstairs.     I glanced at the clock. It was 7:10 in the morning; the early sunlight was seeping in through my window. It appeared as fire-like and reminded me of amber. I then stared at the cold harsh building in front of my window. Cobalt's light was out in his room and it looked as if his room had begun to be cleared out of his belongings.     I grabbed Clove's diary which I had left open on my desk, the last entry I had read had gone over Clove's 15th birthday and how it was a surprise that mom and dad had gotten her a cellphone for the first time. Oh how I remember the old slide phone.      I grabbed my backpack and threw it on a plush, lily-green chair in the corner of my room next to the bench under the window. I grabbed a t-shirt from my closet and a pair of jeans.     After getting ready for the first day back to school from break, I made my...

Forest City Book 5 Chapter 1 -Sincerely, Clove Summerwood-

Diary entry: 12/19/06     Mac's fourth birthday was today, I'm so glad my little sister is growing up, maybe she is growing up too quickly. I hope that she enjoys all of her presents and especially loves the crayons I got her. I like when she draws things because, while they may not be great and mostly are a bunch of scribbles, I really appreciate all of her drawings.     The other day she drew me a picture of a tree that was being destroyed by one of the tractors on the farm. It was a very horrific sight to see in real life (mostly because dad almost hit the car with the tractor). I enjoy Mac's drawings though, I really do. This tree drawing is a funny little reminder for me that dad shouldn't be trusted with a tractor near a car and a tree.     Mom made sure to put the date that Mac drew the tree in the bottom right corner. She told us this evening some interesting news-     -"Clove, Chester, Macadamia, come downstairs, your ...

This is a big one! Forest City News 12/18/21

Book 4 updates:      Book 4 is all neatly tied up in a big blue bow, it is sad indeed. The hiatus definitely helped me figure out the ending of the book a little bit more and now I have some ideas for a few key frames of the book. I can't wait to do some reworking of the story, I will have a dialogue version (in script form) and a version that is more detail oriented. I am aware that this sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but this is the most tedious part of my comic book process. I find that the part where I am writing the draft is the most fun because I'm just brain dumping, while the script and detailed outlines are more tedious and time consuming for me to do, no worries. I like to make things more detailed and scripts are...well, fun.     For schedule changes:     Through the 20th and 25th of December there will be no blog posts (except for two on the 19th), this is due to it being holiday week for many and I don't...

Forest City 4 Epilogue

"Bonnie! Your father wants to talk to you!" Elaine called for me from the foyer.     I just stay laying on my bed, staring at the ceiling fan, blasting music into my ears. I knew that father was going to ask about my grades and about the whole school year, the same things he always asks about, it's not like he even is here, just in a phone call with Elaine, who was outside my door. I turned myself over and got up off of my bed. I walked over to my door and hesitated with the doorknob. My fur looked ghostly and white on my hands, but I didn't care a single bit about it.     As I gently opened the door, Elaine pushed it open, bright light lit up my dimly lit room. I tried to shut my door quickly, but not trying to slam it, mostly because I didn't want to be rude.     "You really need to dust in here and vacuum, oh and that smell is utterly putrid," Elaine started to berate me.     "Dad wants to talk to me?" I q...
