Forest City Book 5 Chapter 4 -The Tora Issue-

As Monty and I headed to homeroom, we noticed that someone was blocking our path.

"Bonnie has a bone to pick with you... MONTY!" Midge began harshly.

Monty rolled his eyes and pushed his glasses up to his face. He replied, "If Bonnie has an issue with me, then we can deal with it ourselves."

Midge scoffed and disappeared into Mrs. Lanigera's classroom. Monty and I followed. We both set our backpacks next to our desks and sat down. Cobalt was sketching something in a sketchbook that looked similar to Clove's journal.

"What are you drawing?" I threw the question out to Cobalt.

"Oh just a little something for an art project," Cobalt answered, "I'm getting a little help with it... sort of." His answer seemed to be a little more vague than usual.

"Look who decided to show his face!" Bonnie sneered from the other side of the classroom.

Cobalt glanced towards where the sound was coming from; his ears bent down and he let out a low threatening growl.

"I wasn't talking to you," Bonnie gestured to Monty, while she began to approach our table.

"Bon, leave 'em alone, it's no use," Tora spoke up from where Bonnie was standing. He has what appeared to be a brace wrapped around his jaw.

"What happened to him?" I questioned aloud.

"Care to explain..." Bonnie's gaze met Monty, "Tell them how this happened."

"Well, obviously, I couldn't have done that," Monty said under his breath.

Bonnie began, but was interrupted, "Then who-"

"Bonnie!" Tora interrupted, "It wasn't him.

Cobalt and I turned our heads to get a look at Monty. We seemed to have had the same question Bonnie had.

"Cas did it," Monty whispered, "Tora's parents really want to know who did this, so they can...you know..."

    "Press charges?" I questioned.

"Exactly...and I don't think they want to convince anyone that it was Caspian," Monty said worryingly.

"They want to put the blame on you," Cobalt continued Monty's thought.

"No, it is no use to try and argue with them, I just want to move on with that whole..." Monty's voice trailed off, he just got out Clove's journal and dropped the conversation.

I glanced at Cobalt, who had returned to his drawing, it seemed as if everyone wanted to just ignore the Tora issue.
