This is a big one! Forest City News 12/18/21

    Book 4 updates:

    Book 4 is all neatly tied up in a big blue bow, it is sad indeed. The hiatus definitely helped me figure out the ending of the book a little bit more and now I have some ideas for a few key frames of the book. I can't wait to do some reworking of the story, I will have a dialogue version (in script form) and a version that is more detail oriented. I am aware that this sounds like a lot of work, and it is, but this is the most tedious part of my comic book process. I find that the part where I am writing the draft is the most fun because I'm just brain dumping, while the script and detailed outlines are more tedious and time consuming for me to do, no worries. I like to make things more detailed and scripts are...well, fun.

    For schedule changes:

    Through the 20th and 25th of December there will be no blog posts (except for two on the 19th), this is due to it being holiday week for many and I don't want to post or work on much during that week because it is also the last week of school. HOORAY! FINALS! Everything will turn back to normal on the 27th with the first chapter to Book 5!!! That does mean that the second chapter will actually be posting on the 31st which was interestingly timed out.

    Scheduled Weekend posts will now be posting at 6:00 PM (Central Daylight Time). Sometimes Forest City News will be posted randomly, but there will be more order to them now that I'm getting more organized. Wednesday posts will also be a bit different, I think that they were posting at 12:00 PM, but that's when I had them scheduled and could work at school on them, now I can't, and Wednesday posts don't really exist anymore.

    I'm telling you this in advance, but Mac's birthday is going to be tomorrow, the 19th of December, so I will actually be making a post for them, probably in advance.

    The first chapter of Book 1 posted on January 27th of 2021, so go read that for a trip down memory lane. I still think that it is stupid that I segmented chapter 1 into two parts. Like, what was I thinking? Plus the second half was posted like a month later LOL.

    Book 5 stuff:

    Alright, so the premise for Book 5 is going to be centered around Monty's dad, Toni, and Midge, also clearing up the crap that happened between Cas, Tora, and Bonnie stuff. I know this is vague, but I need to figure out which plot point I want to focus on for this book. I'm a little more excited to talk about the gay dads more than I am with Cas, but the epilogue for Book 4 is just setting me up for more, so I will try and make Book 5 work with most of the plot points I have in store. Maybe it will be the longest book I write so far or whatever.

    Character art:

    I am currently working on the "Incomplete List of Forest City Characters" (obviously that is going to have spoilers), this has caused me to want to revamp some of the old Character artwork, so I may get around to doing that someday. I want to do this during summer, but it depends on what I'm feeling like then, I don't want to rush the artwork yet, but they need some help and some reworking because they are old. This will likely post sometime after the last chapter of Book 6 has been created and the epilogue for Book 1 has been posted.

    To put that in perspective my digital artwork for Mac was made October 17th 2020, about three months before the first chapter was posted. That artwork is over a year old and I have gotten better at drawing this character. The art style has escaped me though, so I'm going to work on sketching the characters when I can so that I can get into the art style again. (Said me on 11/28/21)

Forest City Chapter 9 -Liar-

    It was around 3:52 when Aunt Hazel and I arrived back at her apartment. She has 8 minutes to get ready for tea with the ladies and I had already made my way up the stairs and into my room, remembering to not hit my head on the ceiling. Forest City 2 Chapter 1 -October-

    It has been a month since Bonnie's disastrous birthday party, she hasn't talked to me since then, I don't blame her. I stepped over a few piles of dirty laundry in my room and opened my big dresser and all of it's glorious drawers. As a kid, I used to play in dresser drawers, I mostly rummaged through my parents and sisters dressers looking for something fun in them. I never was allowed in my brother's rooms, but I'm sure all that I'd find in their dressers are a bunch of old superhero comics or... I don't know... nut free snack foods. My brother Sorrel is a topic of conversation, he's deadly allergic to tree nuts, which is ironic because, well, we're squirrels. I threw that thought out of my brain, none of my clothes were clean, all my drawers were empty, and most importantly, Aunt Hazel was out of town.
