Forest City 2 Chapter 13 -So it ends-

"Macadamia, did you write these parts of the story or did Monty write them?" Chordata asked.
    "I-I... I didn't..." I answered in defeat.
My dad glared over at me and opened his mouth to speak, but Chordata held her hand up to stop him and said, "I understand why you had your friend write those missing parts for you, it isn't the first time he has done this."
    "What!?" Monty's dad exclaimed.
"DAD! I only wanted to help Mac!" Monty cried, his eyes darted toward Cobalt who had his head down on the table, his ears rested flat, "can't you see what this is doing to us!?"
"Montimer, this has to be done," Monty's dad replied, "I can't have you doing this again."
"I recall that Monty helped Cobalt in my class in an attempt to help raise my son's grade," Mr. Lupin said while in deep thought.
"That's because of YOUR harsh grading!" I called out, "And because you pick favourites."
"Favourites... that would be blatant discrimination, you could lose your job Mr. Lupin," Mr. Aguila spoke up.
"Who is he picking favourites over?" Chordata asked, I couldn't tell if she was talking to me or Mr. Lupin.
"Midge!" I blurted out, "I know Mr. Lupin has been giving her straight A's this whole semester even if she doesn't pay attention or follow the rubric!"
"That's not true, this girl is lying!" Mr. Lupin protested as he pointed his finger at me from across the table.
"I have a feeling that the only reason why she gets good grades is because her father is the head of the school board. Trust me, I used to have her mother over for tea and they gossiped about all of the other student's grades and how their parents were failing them," Hazel objected.
"I see," Mrs. Chordata said in deep thought, she then started to pace around the back of the room.
"Should we recap?" Mr. Aguila asked.
"Do we need to take this to court?" Delgado croaked.
"Let us recap," Chordata continued, "I have made my decisions, if you have any objections, wait until I am done. Mr. Lupin on an account of favouritism, you intentionally shredded up Macadamia's papers and gave them poor grades, even after following the rubric. You have the said motive and I have found you guilty. As punishment..." Mrs. Chordata paused she seemed cautious about her decision she then raised her head almost as if she was trying to gain some respect, "Mr. Lupin... you're fired."
Mr. Lupin lowered his head and closed his eyes in defeat...
