Forest City Book 5 Epilogue
As I sat in the office, I didn’t feel as worried, mostly because I knew why I was called down to Mrs. Chordata’s office. My friends on the other hand only seemed to suspect the worst. It seems like forever ago I was spinning around in those office chairs waiting to hear the news if Connall would get fired or if I would have gotten expelled.
Chordata entered her office and sat down handing me a blue piece of paper. She smiled and began, “I am excited that you are interested in creating a club and a GSA, which is even better.” She began typing something into her computer and continued, “All I need is for you to fill out the contents of that piece of paper and bring it back to me, preferably before you graduate.” She laughed and sipped some coffee in one of the school-themed mugs.
“I think I can fill this out before the school day ends,” I replied.
“Well then you can bring that back to me by 3,” she continued.
I waved as I stepped out of the office, Cobalt rushed over to me.
“Did you get expelled?” Cobalt asked sarcastically, then he glanced at the blue paper, “So you’re actually going to do it.” He smirked and he walked me to our first class.
“Yeah, the thing is though, I have to get some people to sign this thing so I can actually make it a club,” I explained.
“How many?” Cobalt asked.
“20,” I sighed in defeat.
“Well then make it 19,” Cobalt said while he grabbed the paper and put his signature on it.
“The thing is, I don’t think that there are 13 more people at this place that will sign this paper,” I groaned while looking at the blue paper. That’s when I lowered the paper, glancing around the hallway, a crowd of students passed Cobalt and I, each wearing pronoun pins or “Love is Love” pins. I glanced around some more, a gazelle wearing a “Pride” shirt handed a hacky sack to a sparrow wearing a pansexual pride flag pin.
I glanced at the paper and said to Cobalt, “I don’t think I have anything to worry about.”
He smiled and wrapped an arm around my waist, I rested my head on his arm.
