Forest City 4 Chapter 5 -School Play-
"Let's try to find a seat close to the front," Conall suggested.
"Did you get the camera," mom reminded.
"Of course, mom," I replied, "dad is setting it up right now, speaking of which, Conall, can you go help him out?"
"We really should get him educated on modern electronics," Conall replied bitterly.
Mom shushed Conall and said sternly, "The play is about to start."
Multiple kids began marching on the stage, the school had decided to do another Christmas play to raise money. I always appreciated the charm that was school plays and whenever Cobalt came up on stage he was always beaming with joy! This time he wasn't.
Conall whispered to me, "He doesn't seem to be having a good time this year."
I felt so worried about the kid, he always loved these plays. About the fourth or fifth song, I had noticed that he wasn't singing. Mom was taking pictures of him the whole time, Cobalt looked like he was going to cry.
Once the play had ended, Conall helped my dad pack up the camera, I walked mom out of the school's gym and we began looking for Cobalt. We both stood at the school's front door, mom sat down on one of the benches. I felt a tug at my jeans and looked down at Cobalt, he had tears in his eyes and mom was, yet again, taking another picture...

"You know the only reason I was upset right?" Cobalt asked.
"Oh, I do," I teased.
Cobalt looked cranky, as usual, he glared.
"You were upset because grandma had gone with us and you didn't want her taking pictures," I reminded.
"I can't remember why I hated her so much," Cobalt added.
"Because you acted just like her, you act so much like my parents, cranky, mean, and a bit wild," I continued.
"Do you miss grandma?" Cobalt asked shyly.
"I miss her alright, sometimes I wish she was still around, but I know she's in a better place now," I continued, "you should probably go to bed soon."
"It's only 8:30, I'm not 10 anymore," Cobalt argued.
I began towards my own room and asked, "When is the party?"
"Hazel was thinking the 4th," Cobalt replied quickly.
I smiled and went into my room. On my wall a planner sat, I marked on the fourth (Saturday) that I was indeed, going to this party, and on the 2nd, I would have Cobalt come on my show.
