“How was school dear,” Hazel began, “Did you do anything fun?” I sat down on the couch next to her and asked, “Did you ever join any clubs in high school?” “Did I?” Hazel answered behind her book, “I was on the student council, I did sewing club, and I think book club. I can’t remember all of them.” “Did you ever make any clubs?” I asked. “Oh heavens no! I can’t handle an entire group of high school students,” she paused, “Only one.” Hazel glanced over, her brown eyes met mine, “Let’s make some tea together.” As we stepped into the kitchen, the yellow didn’t seem so bright anymore, instead it felt warm and glowy.
