Forest City Announcement 7/25/21

    Hey, hey, hey! Another announcement coming your way!

    Recently, I have put a little Easter egg on my Instagram account micro_toast and I wanted to inform everyone that Forest City blog has now gone public. Which means that a TON of changes are going to come to the blog.

    So here is a list of what is going to change as of today:

  • The Follower button has been removed, this is to protect the anonymity of myself and the people who originally followed, if I were to bring this back, I would have to have everyone change their names to keep themselves anonymous.
  • If you do know me personally, do not use my really name, You can call me Crow, as that is the name that is on the main account I use here on Blogger. Also if you do have your real name in your username, I HIGHLY insist that you change it to something else.
  • To new people joining, you can feel free to make a Blogger account or you can choose to remain anonymous, I don't mind if you want to keep yourself anonymous.
  • To the people who are unaware, Blogger no longer will send out emails informing you that I have posted or updated the blog, I never had this feature to begin with, but I know people who were wondering if that was possible. I have a schedule listed of when I post, feel free to add reminders to your phone, computer, tablet, whatever you use to view the blog on, to give yourself a reminder. You absolutely do not have to do this, but this is my suggestion to keep track of the posts, I sometimes post on Wednesdays, but that depends on how things are going, I want Forest City Blog to be about Forest City, but I do have a time slot that is open, I may open up some cool things for commenters to do or something like that, I'm working on the Wednesday schedule.
  • Another thing, Forest City Blog will be ending, since I created the blog on a school account, I may no longer have access to this blog later on in the distant future, that future will probably be in May or June 2023, it depends on when my school deletes the accounts. It still might be able to run even after the account is deleted, but I also have Crow's account which means that I may have coverage, it's just that any of the posts made by Puffins (school account) may get deleted, we'll have to see about that though. If the posts do get deleted, I have a backup Word Doc handy, which I am slowly adding the posts to, so not all is lost.
  • Mac is nonbinary.
  • The last one just needed to be touched on, I'm trying to make a space for people to talk about the LGBTQ+ community and this is it, I feel I must state that any homophobic or transphobic comments will not be tolerated on this blog. Which, I am aware that the story does touch briefly on a bit of some touchy topics and those chapters have summaries and trigger warnings.
  • A little about the trigger warnings before I finish this post, if you think a chapter needs a trigger warning, feel free to yell at me in the comments (don't actually yell, just tell me, "Hey, I think that this chapter could use a warning and a summary because _____"). Forest City is a YA (Young Adult) novel.
  • Any and all fanart is appreciated, just please keep in mind that the main cast is mostly minors at the beginning. If you do want to make fanart feel free to and make sure to use the hashtags #forestcitycomic or #forestcitydtiys if you are doing one of the Draw This in your Style challenges, I have one dtiys already, the time is infinite and it has been here for about 6 months, I think, honestly fanart is probably my favourite part of all this, seeing people draw my characters and appreciate them makes me really happy.
  • I should probably link my socials here, my Instagram is micro_toast, it is a private account so you will have to send a request and my Twitter is AShortest, the usernames on both should be Almighty Shortest and they have some Invader Zim profiles.

Forest City Chapter 9 -Liar-

    It was around 3:52 when Aunt Hazel and I arrived back at her apartment. She has 8 minutes to get ready for tea with the ladies and I had already made my way up the stairs and into my room, remembering to not hit my head on the ceiling. Forest City 2 Chapter 1 -October-

    It has been a month since Bonnie's disastrous birthday party, she hasn't talked to me since then, I don't blame her. I stepped over a few piles of dirty laundry in my room and opened my big dresser and all of it's glorious drawers. As a kid, I used to play in dresser drawers, I mostly rummaged through my parents and sisters dressers looking for something fun in them. I never was allowed in my brother's rooms, but I'm sure all that I'd find in their dressers are a bunch of old superhero comics or... I don't know... nut free snack foods. My brother Sorrel is a topic of conversation, he's deadly allergic to tree nuts, which is ironic because, well, we're squirrels.
