Forest City 3 Chapter 11 -Frantic-
I remember coming home from school, Grandpa and Grandma Summerwood were waiting at the hospital with mom and dad. Hazel had driven Chester and I home from school to get ready to go to the hospital.
"Are you kids excited?" Hazel asked as we entered the house. We lived out in the middle of nowhere in an old white farmhouse, I always loved this house, as it seemed bigger when I was 5. Now it's quite small looking, but I did grow like a foot taller so... you know.
"I'm super excited to meet our baby sister!" I practically screeched while jumping up and down.
"I don't want a little sibling," Chester spat.
"Oh I didn't want a little sibling either and eight months later your father was born," Hazel joked.
"I can't wait to play dolls, do her hair, and ride bikes together!" I screamed again.
"She's just a baby dear, you'll have to wait a little while until she gets older to do all that," Hazel replied, "Now, go get ready to leave."

"A get together? My dad? Mom? And Hazel? All in the same room?" Cobalt asked in homeroom, "No! No! NO! My dad would kill your aunt!"
"Where's Monty?" I asked.
"Dunno," Cobalt replied, "I guess it would work, but... um... I'm not allowed to see my dad right now."
"Why's that?" I asked.
Cobalt let out a snort of laughter then got serious, "It's complicated, but I can only visit him on the weekends."
"I see," I said with some understanding, "We could do the get together on Saturday at 5 or so."
"Sounds good, but I have somewhere to go this afternoon so we can work all this out on Thursday," Cobalt replied.
"I'm worried about Monty," I responded.
"I know, I'm not as mad at him as I was on Monday."
"He- uh... texted me, on Monday," I slid my phone over to Cobalt, "Did you by any chance tell him where we were?"
Cobalt didn't answer at first, he just blinked and let out a sigh, "I told him you were at my house, he asked, but I hadn't known at that point."
We sat in awkward silence for a little while until Bonnie came over to our table.
"Hey Bonnie!" I said.
"Where's Monty?" she demanded. Typical Bonnie.
"I have no idea," Cobalt replied, "Have you heard from him?"
"No, I was wondering where he was, he always shows up for school and we are working on a project in English together, I don't want to work alone," Bonnie answered.
"Ask Midge, she would know," Cobalt suggested.
"I already asked Midge, jeez, she would be the first person I ask," Bonnie scoffed, then went back to her seat.
Cobalt frantically texted Monty and said to me, "I'll tell you if I get a response. I promise."
I was genuinely scared for him, could he have broken something or even worse, transferred schools.
"Cobalt! I've got a lead!" Bonnie shouted from across the room. This is probably the most they have talked to each other in a long time.
"What is it!?" Cobalt asked as we both rushed over to Bonnie's desk.
"Monty's in the hospital!" Midge shouted.
