Forest City 3 Chapter 2 -Gossip Begins to Brew-

Something seems so familiar about Tora, I can't quite think of him or his name. It doesn't ring a bell, I glanced up in the hallway, I was standing near homeroom, looks like we have a sub today because I can't get in the room. I felt a slight tap on my shoulder, I turned my head to see Cobalt's cute little face staring back at me. Something about the dance and the whole fiasco made me reconsider a lot about Cobalt and Bonnie as people.

"I brought you something on my way here, that's why I'm a little late, got you something too Monty," Cobalt began and handed us two coffee cups full of tea.

    "T-thanks," I stuttered and took a sip.

"Both of your favorites," Cobalt closed his eyes, almost like he was victorious of something.

"I do like a good Early Gray," Monty chimed in.

I was surprised that Cobalt even knew my favorite tea, spiced pomegranate and orange. I asked curiously, "And what did you get yourself?"

"I got an espresso," Cobalt answered quickly.

"Uh oh, someone is a little jittery," Monty winked and asked, "How many cups did you get?"

"I only drank one..." Cobalt trailed off, "maybe I had half of my mom's iced coffee."

Monty winked at Cobalt with their super secret "bro language" I will never understand, I feel like every guy I meet has some kind of bro language, whether it is punching someone in their arm or making the most obnoxious grunting sounds to reply to someone, every guy I've met has done this. Mostly these two and my dad... who hasn't stopped texting and calling me all morning. I just left the messages unread and let the calls go to voicemail, which I most likely won't listen to this afternoon. I don't even see the point in voicemails at all, if someone calls me, chances are, I am going to call them back. I guess it can be useful in some situations, but sometimes it just isn't. More annoying than helpful when you can't even remember the stupid password!

"Mac, you gonna get that?" Monty asked as he glanced down at my phone, "it's your dad."

"Nope," I answered, "I know why he's calling."

"Care to share," Cobalt asked then took a sip of coffee his hands shaking from the caffeine.

"Ever since the whole fiasco at school, he's been calling me and he sounds worried every time," I answered, "I stopped answering because I didn't want to hear the same things he said over and over."

"What has he said," Monty chimed in then he glanced behind his shoulder. Green Alert! I read in his eyes.
