Forest City Chapter 3 -See you then-
That stupid blue wolf dare come into my room with this bird! Why I can't believe he's... apologizing. I can't believe that he is trying to apologize. I shouldn't accept this flimsy excuse of an apology, but he seems lonely, well sort of.
"I guess I'm sorry for throwing dirt in your face, I'm sorry," the wolf said coolly.
"Yeah, well I'm not buying it," I replied.
"I think the two of you started out on the wrong foot, so I am going to try and mend this broken relationship," the bird said.
"And what is your grand master plan? Monty?" the wolf asked.
Monty, the pale yellow bird, answered, "Why don't you two just get to know each other that may clear some things up and then maybe-"
"I don't think this will work at all, but okay," the wolf responded.
"Well, then, I'll just leave you to it then," Monty said coolly while walking the plank over to the wolf's apartment and called, "if you need me I'll be reading. This chapter finally got interesting!"
"So, I guess we should give this, get-to-know-each-other plan Monty came up with a chance," I began.
"Fine," the wolf replied, "I guess I'll start, I'm Cobalt, that's all you need to know."
"Well, I'm Mac, I go by they/them pronouns and I came from a farm out in the country."
"That explains a lot... are you Clove's sibling?"
"You know Clove!"
"I know of Clove, she came here because your dad doesn't like her girlfriend, yeah, she's pretty well known at Forest City High."
"High School? I thought you were some lazy college student living with his parents still."
"That is not my mom," Cobalt said sternly, "Listen, I've been dealing with a lot recently and I'm not sure how long I can take living with my step mom and my real dad."
"Well, I'm sorry," I replied. Stupid.
"Why should you be sorry, I'm the one who needs to apologize here, I messed up, like I always do and you're the one apologizing!"
"It's the least I can do, I forgive you."
"I threw dirt on your face-"
"Mac! Dinner's ready!" Aunt Hazel called.
"You're going to Forest City High, right?" Cobalt asked.
"Yeah, why so," I answered.
"Well, I'll see you there then," Cobalt said while walking back to his apartment, he took the plank up and placed it back into his room.
"See you then," I whispered to myself.
"With this BIRD!!!!"
