"How was school?" The usual question came from Hazel. We sat at the small table in the yellow kitchen. I replied with a question, "Did Clove ever do any art clubs or was she a part of one?" "Oh yeah, I think it was Mrs. Golden or Mrs. Finch, was it?" Hazel answered, "Now tell me, how was school?" "Good," I replied. Good, I guess, it was pretty mediocre. Cobalt straightened his back and balled his hands up into fists. I watched as Monty straightened his glasses and stepped a little closer towards Cobalt, almost as if he was hiding from Bonnie. Speaking of which, she stood before us her arms crossed and one foot tapping. "I want to talk to Mac alone," Bonnie started, "Don't worry because I won't do anything to harm h- them." "I don't trust you Bonnie, never again, you leave Mac alone," Cobalt replied. "I don't care whether or not you trust me, I just want to talk to Mac, alone!" Bonnie snapped back at Cobalt. Forest City 2 Chapter 9 -Worry-

I can't stop thinking about this morning mostly because 1. Aunt Hazel would kill me if she found out Monty was over and 2. Cobalt asked me to the dance!!! I couldn't take my eyes off of him in Homeroom class, he even sat with my on the bus!!! Every single time I look over at him, my face flushes red. I felt a tap on my shoulder that was followed by a, "Mac, the Principal wants you down to her office, ASAP." I turned to see Mrs. Lanigera, her eyes were worried and full of dread, I wondered what had happened that she was so worrisome about.
