Forest City 2 Chapter 14 -Our Old Ways-
"Who am I going to live with?" Cobalt began, "What about Daisy?"
"Everything is going to be fine sweetie," Mrs. Lupin replied, "We'll figure all that out later."
Hearing the news that Mr. Lupin had been fired was shocking, but we all kind of expected that he was going to lose his job over this.
"As for you kids, you can return back to your classes, it should be the middle of 3rd hour," Mrs. Chordata sent us on our way.
We left our parents (and my aunt) in the Conference room with the lawyers. As we walked away, Cobalt laughed nervously and said, "Sorry about all this Mac, I didn't want them to see that side of me."
I took Cobalt's hand and leaned onto his shoulder, Cobalt pulled Monty beside him and we all made our ways to our classes. Monty took off to his Sociology class and Cobalt walked me down to Botany with Mx. Meles. We stopped outside of my classroom and Cobalt sighed.
"Can I have a hug?" I asked.
"Y-yeah," Cobalt blushed and took me in, I could stand like this forever, next to him, hearing his stomach rumble for lunch, his soft breaths. I didn't want to leave, but I had to...

Today came to a screeching halt, when we entered 6th Hour, my English class.
Mrs. Lanigera stood at the front of the class and began talking about some of the new changes that were coming because of a recent "incident" revolving our teacher.
"Soooo, Mac, what happened in Homeroom, why'd you leave so early, smooching with Cobalt in the bathroom," Midge pressured with such urgency to know what happened to Mr. Lupin.
"I had to go down to the office, that's all," I answered.
"Yeah, well, Cobalt and Monty both came down after you went down, so spill the tea!" Midge urged.
"I don't have to tell you anything, but you better pay attention because I have a feeling you're going to start failing soon," I replied.
Midge let out a gasp and began typing something on her phone, rapidly tapping the keyboard and glancing up to see Mrs. Lanigera's lecture about our current English topics.
"And most importantly, while I am teaching for your class, no cell phones," Mrs. L. spouted, "I WILL confiscate your phone if I see it out. Understand?"
"Yes, Mrs. Lanigera," the class said in unison, except for Midge who didn't quite catch that part because her phone was snatched quickly out of her hands.
Payback, I thought to myself, not just for me, but also for Monty as well.

I couldn't wait for Friday to come, everyone else seemed to think the same thing. We all rushed for the buses as we left the school. I turned my head to see Monty and Cobalt bounding after me.
"Mac wait up!" Monty shouted.
"I'll race ya!" Cobalt sneered than ran after me.
"Not fair Cobalt!" Monty shouted back then darted after Cobalt.
"Boys! No running!" Mr. Jackal stood in the hallway watching us like a hawk.
Cobalt turned around, stuck his tongue out with his mouth opened and gave Mr. Jackal an "L" with his fingers on his forehead.
"Cobalt! Just wait until yer father hears about this!" Jackal called after Cobalt.
Cobalt just bursted out laughing and caught up to me and Monty, who clearly had one the race, but Cobalt made some excuse to allow himself to win and not Monty.
"Being taller has nothing to do with winning our race!" Monty screeched.
"Doi, but I was caught up with Mr. Jackal, a doi," I imitated Cobalt.
Cobalt laughed and asked, "Do I really sound like that to you?"
"Only half the time," I teased, then I whispered to Monty, "Most of the time."
Monty snickered in response. We all made our way to the bus, good ol' bus 5, takes its way down 5th Avenue all the way to Maple Street, then back to the school the bus goes. We all made our way to our seats, Cobalt and I sat together and Monty sat with Toni.
"Well, well, well, if it isn't the Big Three, heard your dad got fired Cobalt," Toni started.
"Yeah, not sure how the whole custody thing is working out, mom wants to take me in and my step mom wants to take Daisy, but I have a feeling the poor kid is not going to handle being separated from me," Cobalt replied.
"Poor Daisy, I hope it all gets figured out," Toni responded, then put her earbuds in and... we lost her in space.
Cobalt wrapped his arm around my shoulder, I leaned my head upon his chest and shut my eyes.
