Forest City 2 Chapter 5 -The Blue Moon Ball-

It didn't take too long for Cobalt and Bonnie to forgive each other (and to forgive me as well), like almost all high school and middle school romances, nothing seemed to matter, they always would forgive each other instantly. Just in time for the Blue Moon Ball, great, just great. The school had held many dances to celebrate harvest for the kids who had parents that farmed as a living, like Tora for instance, who was pretty angry about the lost game.

"Get out of my way!" He shouted at some Freshmen in the hallway, looks like he was on his way to Homeroom class, when-

"Tora Panthera," a voice called from behind Tora. This voice belonged to none other than the school's vice principal, who later, would become the principal of the entire school, but that wouldn't happen until our Junior year.

"Oh, I'm sorry Mr. Chordata," Tora mocked, "I didn't see you there!"

"That is Mrs. Chordata to you," the vice principal half threatened half cowered, "Either you come down to the counseling office or you apologize to those freshmen!"

"Didn't mean to offend you," Tora continued to mock the vice principal.

"Go down to the counseling office, now!" Mrs. Chordata threatened, this time, she was much more confident.

Tora hesitated, but decided to not protest. Cobalt and I watched him make his way around the halls talking about how a peacock can't be a peahen. I glanced at Cobalt, he didn't seem to appreciate Tora at all. There was suspicion in his eyes, I could tell he wasn't too sure about tonight.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The Blue Moon Ball was Bonnie's main idea, Midge wanted to make her best friend have the best night in the world. Turns out, (for the first two hours of the event) that was exactly what had happened, but like most high school romances, it always ends with a bang.

Hour 0: Cobalt and Bonnie had been dancing and having the time of their life. I had unfortunately asked Midge to the dance, big mistake, and she just blew me off. I watched Tora sneak into the dance, even though he wasn't allowed to go because he mocked the vice principal (I wonder what shenanigans he was getting into).

Hour 1: Slow dances ensued, couples gathered on the dance floor, Midge is nowhere to be seen. I decide to step outside for some fresh air and talk to Tony, who also was outside getting fresh air. We decide to go freshen up in the bathrooms, Tony goes into the ladies, hmm.

Hour 2: Students are having the time of their life, I'm having the time of my life freaking out in the bathroom. Good thing I brought a book with me... Cobalt comes in to check on me, he helps comfort me while I'm having a panic attack.

Hour 3: Bonnie accuses Cobalt of not being with her on her special night and storms off. Cobalt and I go out for another breather.

Hour 4: We go back inside the gym...

His ears bent back, his blue eyes widened and filled with tears. A sense of shock floods over his face as he watched Bonnie kiss Tora under the blue lighting of the gym. Cobalt rushed out of the gymnasium pushing me aside and rushing outside. Bonnie's eyes widened, she could tell Cobalt had seen everything, she smirked and made her way toward me.

"He deserved it!" she shouted so that everyone could hear, "This night was for me and you had to come and ruin everything!"

"I was freaking out in the bathroom," I responded, "he came to calm me down."

"Monty! Everyone here knows that Cobalt's been cheating on me with you!" she practically screeched, "You ruin everything! I hate you!"

"Not everything is about you Bonnie! I haven't been able to hang out with Cobalt without you having to be there!" I began to retort.

"There's a reason why I don't leave you alone with him!"

"I don't even like him in that way! We're just friends Bonnie! Can't you just leave us alone!"

Now the whole school was staring at us, I wanted to curl up in a little ball and let everyone throw their punch cups at me. I wanted to run away from this whole stupid city. I wish I could be with my mom!
